My Experience:
Participating in EmporÃa at St. Joseph’s Boys High School was an unforgettable experience that tested every facet of my business acumen, from crisis management to innovation. It wasn’t just another business event—it was an entrepreneurial battlefield where my team and I were tasked with breathing life back into failed products like Blue Pepsi or Armani watches, or rescuing Ola Electric Scooters from a potential lawsuit. The challenges were fierce, but so was our determination to rise to the occasion.
We spent hours pitching business proposals to the panel, defending our strategies, and crafting innovative solutions. One of our standout proposals involved reviving Blue Pepsi by repositioning it as a limited-edition premium product, aimed at a nostalgic yet environmentally conscious market. We focused on reducing the carbon footprint of production while marketing it through eco-friendly collaborations with influencers. We also proposed a bold strategy to reintroduce Armani watches with modern, tech-infused features like smart elements, targeting a younger, tech-savvy demographic. But perhaps our most intense challenge was helping Ola Electric Scooters navigate a potential lawsuit—an exercise that taught me the critical importance of crisis management and legal foresight in the business world.
As the event progressed, we faced more than just business problems; we had to think on our feet, especially during the rounds involving interviews, presentations, and skits. Our team was required to deliver clear, persuasive pitches in just minutes, with each proposal subjected to rigorous questioning by judges. Crisis after crisis, we refined our responses, learning to anticipate every possible curveball.
The adrenaline, the pressure, and the endless creativity made EmporÃa a real-world simulation of the highs and lows of business. Making it to the final round and placing in the top 3 was a validation of our hard work, and more importantly, it highlighted the importance of teamwork, strategic thinking, and the ability to pivot when needed. The event didn’t just make me a better business strategist—it transformed the way I approach challenges, teaching me that with the right mindset, even the most daunting problems can be turned into opportunities for success.

Dealers Choice Business Event

My Experience:
The Dealer’s Choice event at Greenwood International School was an experience unlike any other, where business strategy, quick thinking, and innovation were put to the test in a high-stakes environment. It wasn’t just another school competition—this was real, with investors sitting across from us, analyzing our every move as if we were standing in the boardroom of a global company.
My team and I approached the competition with a product concept we were immensely proud of: the Ilhane Altituder, a revolutionary technology designed to combat the harmful environmental effects of contrails—those long, white trails left behind by airplanes that contribute to global warming. We had spent weeks refining the concept, studying EU aviation laws, and perfecting the technical specs. The product was simple yet impactful: a software solution that provided real-time flight path adjustments to avoid contrail formation. It was a pitch not just about saving fuel or efficiency, but about something much bigger—sustainability in the aviation industry, with the power to generate carbon credits for airlines.
The first round was intense, but we were prepared. We had created a sleek advertisement and crafted a clear, concise pitch that hit all the right notes—emphasizing the growing global pressure to reduce aviation’s carbon footprint and the need for innovative solutions in this space. The investors nodded in approval as we demonstrated the technological feasibility of the Ilhane Altituder, showing how even minor adjustments in flight paths could prevent contrail formation and reduce atmospheric warming. When the Q&A session started, we were ready, diving into the science behind our product with confidence and laying out how our system could work within existing aviation frameworks.
But it was the second round that truly tested us. A crisis simulation was thrown at us, reminiscent of a real-world business disaster. Our product was facing a potential lawsuit over patent infringement—something that could ruin not only our launch but also our entire brand. With just 10 minutes to formulate a response, we split into teams, with some of us managing the legal and regulatory aspects, while the others focused on calming the public and investors through carefully crafted press releases and strategic pivots. In those ten minutes, we weren’t just students playing a game—we were entrepreneurs safeguarding the future of our company.
And it worked. Our team successfully navigated the crisis, and when we presented our plan, the judges—real-life investors—commended us on our ability to think on our feet, adapt to unexpected situations, and preserve the integrity of our product. By the end of the event, we had emerged as the winners, our efforts solidifying our belief in the Ilhane Altituder and what it stood for.
Winning wasn’t just about the trophy—it was a validation of the countless hours spent refining our ideas, the teamwork, and the unshakable belief that we could make a difference in the world of aviation. This experience not only deepened my understanding of entrepreneurship but also instilled in me the resilience needed to face real-world challenges head-on, no matter how daunting they may seem.
