While interning at Muthoot Finance, I learned firsthand how NBFCs like Muthoot connect accessible lending with more conventional banking services and how gold loans play a vital role in helping people weather financial storms. I had the opportunity to watch firsthand how NBFCs manage risk, preserve liquidity, and assure client happiness during my week-long internship from June 17 to June 21, 2024, at their Bangalore corporate headquarters. I gained a profound understanding of the complexities of asset-backed lending via the emphasis on gold loans, which demonstrated how these services can empower communities while ensuring financial stability.
