High School Club President - The FBI Club
(Finance, Business & Investments) My Experience:
Serving as the President of the Finance, Business, and Investments (FBI) Club for two consecutive years was a transformative experience that went far beyond learning about money and investments. When I took over, my vision was to create a space where students could gain financial literacy in a practical and engaging way—something that is rarely taught in the traditional school curriculum. With a dedicated team by my side, we managed to turn the club into the most popular at our school, with a waitlist of students eager to join. The club’s rapid growth was a testament not only to the relevance of the topics we covered but also to our collective passion and teamwork.
One of my proudest achievements as President was guiding the club to become a legacy, meaning it would continue to operate and thrive beyond my time at school. Not all clubs achieve this distinction, but the unique value we brought to the student community ensured our lasting impact. I focused on integrating cutting-edge topics like cryptocurrencies, blockchain technology, and AI, while my friends led insightful sessions on stocks and market analysis. This variety allowed us to cater to a wide audience and spark interest in areas beyond conventional finance. Each week, we held in-depth discussions, worked through industry case studies, and even simulated stock market scenarios, giving students hands-on experience in financial decision-making.
Leading the FBI Club was a crash course in teamwork and leadership. It wasn’t just about me teaching; it was about creating an environment where everyone had a role and a voice. Each team member brought their expertise, and we worked together to ensure that every meeting was insightful, dynamic, and relevant. We learned to lean on each other’s strengths—one member excelled at analyzing market trends, another was great at simplifying complex concepts, and I often handled the tech-heavy topics. This experience taught me how to delegate effectively, communicate clearly, and, most importantly, listen to others’ ideas.
Watching the club members grow from novices to confident individuals who could hold their own in financial discussions was incredibly rewarding. The sense of community we built made it easier for members to engage and ask questions without hesitation, and by the end of each year, students walked away with skills that could set them on a path to financial independence. This experience not only enhanced my knowledge of finance but also made me more empathetic, patient, and open to diverse perspectives—traits that have fundamentally shaped who I am today.
Being President of the FBI Club wasn’t just about teaching finance; it was about fostering a mindset of curiosity, responsibility, and lifelong learning. It was about inspiring students to view finance not just as numbers on a spreadsheet, but as a tool to achieve their goals and dreams. The club’s success has left a legacy I’m proud of, and the skills I honed—teamwork, leadership, adaptability—are ones I carry with me in every endeavor.

The Order of the FBI is an ambitious inter-school event hosted by the FBI Club, combining finance, business, innovation, and creativity through three distinct competitions: Shark Tank, Hackathon, and Fashion Tank. Each competition is crafted to push students out of their comfort zones, challenging them to think creatively and strategically while honing their practical skills in a competitive setting.
Shark Tank: In the Shark Tank competition, students will form teams and act as budding entrepreneurs, pitching innovative ideas for fictional companies. The challenge is not just about creating a new product or service, but about showcasing a comprehensive business strategy that encompasses financial viability, market demand, and growth potential. The competition involves multiple rounds, each designed to test specific business skills. One of the highlights will be a “crisis scenario” where participants will face unexpected business challenges and will have to pivot their strategies accordingly. Another unique twist is the inclusion of a “Revive a Failure” round, where teams must choose a real-world product that failed commercially and come up with a plan to successfully relaunch it. This competition will emphasize creativity, resilience, teamwork, and adaptability, requiring participants to think on their feet and convince a panel of judges with their business acumen.
Hackathon: The Hackathon is where tech-savvy students get their chance to shine. This competition will focus on technology and innovation, providing a platform for students to showcase their coding, software development, and problem-solving skills. Teams will be given a specific theme or problem statement related to finance, business, or technology, and they will have a set time to develop a solution. The goal is to create a working prototype or concept that addresses the theme, whether it’s a new financial app, a business analytics tool, or a blockchain-based solution. This competition will emphasize creativity, collaboration, and technical expertise, encouraging participants to innovate while considering the practical and financial aspects of their projects.
Fashion Tank: The Fashion Tank combines the glamour of the fashion world with the strategic insights of business and marketing. Participants will not only be asked to design a fashion line or collection but will also need to create a comprehensive marketing plan that aligns with their brand identity. Teams will face a mid-competition “PR Crisis” that requires them to adapt their marketing strategy on the fly, testing their crisis management skills. This competition is all about understanding consumer behavior, branding, and how to strategically market a product. Participants will need to pitch their fashion ideas to a panel of judges, focusing not only on aesthetics but also on the business behind their designs, such as target demographics, pricing strategy, and distribution plans.

This club focuses on providing the students of CIS with not only the financial literacy that is needed for the real world but also incorporates special tactics and skills that are required to earn the maximum return on investments. We go through Industry case studies and provide the students with a blueprint and key insights of how a company has come to dominate the market. Talk about different financial concepts which are not taught anywhere else and also how to grow streams of passive income. By the end of this club a student is equipped with the necessary skills needed for Financial independence and the skills which are needed to become financially successful in life. For more detail of what will be done in the club throughout the year please find attached below the outline of topics we intend to cover in the club.
